Metro Transit Proposes New Bus Route Serving Plymouth, Golden Valley
Metro Transit is proposing a new route in the Highway 55 corridor that would serve Plymouth City Center, Golden Valley City Hall and the surrounding retail area, along with downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. Trips between Plymouth and downtown Minneapolis would run every 30 minutes every day — the first all-day service ever offered in the Highway 55 corridor — and the Green Line LRT Extension is expected to open sometime in 2027.

Plymouth Reimagines its Future with 2050 Comprehensive Plan
Plymouth Planning Manager Lori Sommers says the city is largely done with greenfield development, so the 2050 Comprehensive Plan focuses on redevelopment — reimagining how growth affects city services and utilities, and how people live and work in Plymouth. Staff have done ride-alongs with police, fire and public works departments to spot issues and opportunities, from sidewalk connections and roadway changes to potential new roundabouts.

Hair Loss Salon Finds Permanent Home in Plymouth
Nedia Hair Loss Salon — a longtime business for those experiencing hair loss — has opened at its new home on 36th Avenue in Plymouth. The owner, who bought Fantasia Salon in Crystal in 2018 and renamed it after her son, says she hopes the location will be the business’s forever home and a place where clients feel comfortable in their own skin.
